September Update 2022

We pray that everyone is doing good and being blessed in every way by our wonderful Lord and Savior!  We want to thank everyone for your prayers and support!  We thank God for all of you and pray for you everyday.

Annie and I are still praying about a visit to America in 2023.  WE HAVE A CAR! Praise God for His provision! Our friend in Houston has a car we can use for the whole 6 months if needed. Hallelujah!  Now all we need is a miracle of a place to stay for anywhere from 3 - 6 months! We are willing to pay rent if we can find a place that is not too expensive. We are open to location as well, as long as it is in Texas. God can make a way where there is no way. So please keep this in your prayers and let us know if you know of anything or have any suggestions.  Thanks in advance!

Praise God, we were able to minister at Lamp of Khon Kaen Church for two Sundays this month.  The first Sunday, Annie preached the main service with a powerful message about love.  

Then the second Sunday, I had the privilege of Preaching the main service.  We had a great time after church by taking our spiritual Grandkids out for lunch while their parents are in Korea.

September 11 was my Birthday!  Wow, It’s hard to believe that I have been on this earth for 75 years today, been married almost 51 years, served God for 33 years and ministered here in Thailand for 26 years!  I thank God everyday for the life He has given me and Annie.

We were able to celebrate my birthday with our spiritual family at Church on the Rock Buriram. We started the day with what we love the most, teaching and Preaching. Then the celebration began!  They showed a video with everyone giving birthday blessings , but the big surprise was our daughter Ruby from America and Son Ernie in Germany were on the video too. Wow! What a blessing.  Afterwards we had a birthday cake and a huge meal for lunch.  What a great way to spend my 75th Birthday celebration. Thank God, Annie, Pastor Bob and everyone who worked so hard to put it all together!  I love you all!

Annie and I had our yearly check ups yesterday(mammogram, ex-rays, ultrasounds).  As far as I can tell everything looks like a good report!  We will see the doctor next week and will get the final results.  Then at the end of the month we have our Normal blood work done.  So please keep us in your prayers this month, so that we will have  good reports on everything!  Amen?

Keep us in prayer for protection because we are now getting back to normal in our ministry and able to move around and go places. Praise God!  We thank everyone in advance and we pray God blesses you above no beyond all your needs and desires!

August Update 2022

We pray that everyone is doing good and being blessed in every way by our wonderful God! We are doing good so far this year and we want to thank everyone for your prayers and support!  We appreciate all of you and pray for you everyday.

Yesterday was Mother’s Day here in Thailand so Annie and I went out for a good lunch to celebrate together.  In the evening our spiritual Daughter and grandchildren took us out to eat as well.  It was a great day!

Annie and I are still praying about a visit to America in 2023.  We have not had any responses  to prayers for a place to stay and a car to use while we are there.  We still need a place to stay and we are not picky about where. We would like to stay for an extended time of 5-6 months. We are willing to pay rent for a place if we can find a place that is not too expensive. We are open to location as well, as long as we are in Texas, we should be fine.  Haha.  We will also need a car to use as well.  I know these are big challenges but God can make a way where there is no way.  So, we are believing God will make a way if it is His will for us to visit.  So please keep this in your prayers and let us know if you know of anything or have any suggestions.  Thanks in advance!

We had a great time this month as we we celebrated the 8th year anniversary of COTR Buriram.   We have been helping them for 6 years now and God is doing a great work through this church.  If you look at the church in the natural it looks small but in the Spirit it is really big!   Most churches in Thailand are a member in a foundation, but COTR Buriram has it’s own foundation within the church and  this foundation reaches out to a ministry in Nepal and in Pattaya. They are making a difference in other places and not just in Buriram. Praise God!  It is a church full of love and very close knit family that is continually growing leaps and bounds in the Spirit. Annie and I are blessed to be a part of what God is doing here and I know God has great plans for the future for COTR. Amen?  Please continue to pray for them and us!

We got a another praise report back from the pastor at the orphanage we visited in May.  At first they were just going to make some repairs to their existing dorms for the kids, but after a meeting with the church and elders for the orphanage they have decided to build new dorms to replace the old ones.  Praise God!  Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

Thanks again to everyone for your prayers and support.  Please keep us in prayer this next week or so, we are finally going to do some celebrating for all of our major events that we have missed.  Since 2020 we have not celebrated any birthdays, anniversaries or special days, so we are going to start catching up by going on a few trips this year.  So please pray God will protect us as we venture out on some fun time.  Haha.

July Update 2022

 

                  Greetings everyone in the Name of Jesus!

Well, things here in Thailand are getting better for traveling now and seems like the world is opening up too.   Annie and I are praying about a visit to America in 2023 but we have 2 major challenges to overcome to be able to make the trip.  Our daughter has just sold their house and are now renting a small home which is unfortunately too small to accommodate all of us when we visit.  So the first and biggest challenge is we will need a place to stay for the whole time we are there.  We were wanting to make an extended visit for about 5 months but we can adapt however long we have a place available to stay.  We can leave here in March and stay till September, so if anyone has a place available or a place we can rent real cheap for 3 to 5 months please let me know.  

The second big challenge is as always, a car to use for the duration of our stay.  If anyone has one we can rent cheap or use would be a big blessing to us. We really want to visit everyone next year but we will have to overcome these challenges to be able to visit.  If not, we will most likely have to wait another year to see what we can do. So please pray for us in this area and we are open for suggestions or if anyone can help us With accommodations please let me know.  Next year will be here before we know it. Amen?  

We were able to minister at COTR Buriram last month and was such a blessing to be back to an almost normal services now.  Looks like we will be able to continue to minister every month like before.  Thank you for all your prayers.

We got a praise report back from the pastor at the orphanage we visited in May.  Thank God for all those who gave financially to bless them.  Several people gave generously and we had a substantial amount that we were able to bless them with.  The pastor called Pastor Bob and was crying after he opened the envelope with the blessing.  He said it was the first time in 26years of ministry that he had that much in his hand at one time.  The roof on the two houses where the kids stay needed to be repaired and he had no means to repair them.  The blessing we gave covered the repairs and much more.  He was praising God for all of you who gave!  Hallelujah!  God is good!

On July 9, 1989, Annie and i received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit at the same time in a classroom setting.  It changed our life for ever!  We always celebrate this special day, giving thanks to God for all he has done in our life.  From lay ministry, jail & prison ministry, pastor and now missionaries for over 33 years.  It has not been easy all these years but it has been worth it and we wouldn’t change a thing.  Praise God for all He is doing and going to do in our lives for at least a few more years.  Amen?
