April Update 2023

Lunch with our Spiritual Children!

Greetings in the Name of Jesus!

We pray that you are all being blessed by God in all that you do.  Annie and I are staying in this week as Thailand celebrates the famous Songkran Holiday or Thai New Year, also known as the water festival to many. It has been three years since Thailand has been able to celebrate because of Covid and this year they are going all out.  They even extended the Holiday a couple of days.  If I had to compare this holiday for people to understand, I guess it would be very close to the Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

Over 100,000 people across the street from our home!

On the outside it looks like a lot of fun.  All day long there are roads closed so people can walk down the streets with vendors and bars everywhere. People throw water on each other by whatever means they can find. Super powered water guns, buckets hoses, anything they can find. Drinking of all sorts everywhere and concerts day and night. Tourists and Thais mingle together and it looks like the most fun thing to do in the world.

But behind the scenes, the Buddhist celebrations are going on, which for the most part looks good and moral. They respect the elderly in their families and come together for family fellowship as well. The goal on the last day is to worship and celebrate the Sea Serpent through many demonic ceremonies. So, the spiritual side is not so pretty or fun.

Hundreds will lose their lives and thousands will be injured through road accidents throughout Thailand.  Mostly from drunk driving and thousands of people on the roads.

This is why Annie and I either leave the country during this time or decide to stay home and hibernate until all the celebrations are finished and everyone goes back to work. So here we are waiting for another couple of days as I do this update. With all the concerts and loud music around us day and night. Thank God they usually slow down around midnight and we are able to get some sleep before morning. Amen?

Just before the holiday we were able to minister at the Lamp of Khon Kaen Church here in Khon Kaen. On the 2nd Annie preached and taught the service and God used her mightily. God is good! On the 9th of April, I was able to preach the Easter Service. I preached that our hope is in the Resurrection of Jesus. Praise God for the opportunity to minister while our spiritual children are out of the country. We enjoyed both Sundays and the fellowship with all the members. Praise God.

Praise God next week we will be out and ministering again at COTR Buriram Church. We are looking forward to being out and about again.

Please continue to pray for us!  We appreciate all your prayers and support that makes everything possible.  We always need prayer for our provision, protection and health. Thank you all in advance.

God bless all of you and we love y’all!

Ralph and Annie

March Update 2023

Greetings in the Name of Jesus!

We pray that you are all being blessed in all you do.  March was a little slower ministry wise but we were busy with all of our health checkups.  Praise God we received a good report from all of our doctors visits. On March 17th, Annie completed 3 out of 5 years of her treatment by taking a hormone blocker with only 2 more years left.  She has been doing great and free now for 3 years! To God be the Glory! Please continue to pray for our health, strength and energy to continue serving Jesus.  Amen?

This month, we ministered at Church on the Rock Buriram.  Annie taught before the service and I preached on the Grace of God. God blessed us all! Thank you Jesus!  The church is truly growing in the Spirit and knowledge of God more and more.  We are so happy to be a part of what this church has become.  They are a loving growing family. The lady that is taking chemotherapy treatments is doing much better, please keep praying for her.

Dong Bang Church

We had an opportunity to visit a church we used to minister in 26 years ago.  We saw one of the teenagers we knew, who has grown up now and is the pastor's wife of the church.  Praise God god to see the kids who have grown up and  now serving God.

Next month, we will be ministering three weekends, so prayers please.  Also the 13th to 15th is the Thai New Year and that week is the most dangerous time for traveling, so Annie and I will be hibernating that week except we will be ministering on the 16th here in Khon Kaen.  So please pray for our protection during that time.

A big thank you to all of our supporters who are faithful every month to trust and believe in us!  We couldn’t do what we do without you! We thank all of you who pray for us also, God is truly answering your prayers because even at our age we are staying healthy, full of energy and strength to serve Jesus.  Amen?  We love all of you and are always praying for you too!

We love you!

Ralph and Annie

February Update 2023

51 Years Together!
Greetings in the Name of Jesus!

Since the middle of January until today we have been really busy!  We would like to thank God for all the opportunities. We celebrated our 51st anniversary on the 15th and then ministered several weekends after that, Praise God!  It is good to be out and about again, makes us feel young again. Haha

On our anniversary we ministered and celebrated at Church on the Rock Buriram.  We had a great time celebrating and wonderful fellowship with our family there.

Then on January 22, we ministered at New Life Church Ban Gruat district, Buriram.  One of our spiritual children whom we have not seen for a long time is now the pastor there. We enjoyed ministering and good fellowship with many old friends and family which we haven’t seen in a long time.

On January 29th, we ministered at the Lamp of Khon Kaen Church.  We had a great time in the Lord and had great fellowship with our family there. We had lunch together after church and we were encouraged by a woman sitting across from us at the table. We were talking back and forth for a while about where we had been in our 26 year here in Thailand and this lady said are you Pastor Ralph and Annie. I said, yes, that is us.  Come to find out, when she was a small girl about 25 years ago we ministered at her church and to the young people there.  It was a blessing to us, that she still remembered us and we were able to be a part of her life during that time. Wow, God is good. She is all grown up, and she and her husband are Christian business people today. Then we talked about many of the young people we used to minister to are now pastors and leaders in churches all over Thailand. Praise God!

On February 11, we traveled to Buriram to minister on the 12th at COTR Buriram.  We visited and prayed for one of the members who is presently going through chemo treatments.  She is doing pretty good and is seeing some good results. We would like to ask everyone to continue to pray for her.  We are believing for a miracle and a great testimony for what God has done!  Amen?  Her name is Thung.

In the morning on February 12 we ministered at COTR Buriram.  Annie taught before the service and I preached the message for the main service.  God is good and moved among us.

In the afternoon, we traveled to New Life Church, Ban Graut District, for the ordination service of our spiritual daughter.  She too is a spiritual daughter from around 20 years ago and now she was ordained as the pastor of the church.  We are so happy for her and we encouraged her in serving God then we celebrated together with our family there.

My Valentine!

On Valentine's Day, I celebrated with a steak lunch with my Valentine.  She is just as beautiful as she was on that first Valentines Day 51 years ago. I love her so much!

A big thank you to everyone for your prayers and support, we couldn’t do what we do without you.  We pray God blesses all of you over and above all your needs and desires!

We love y’all!

Ralph and Annie
