New Years Update

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hello Everyone!  Have a wonderful and blessed New Year 2017!  We pray that next year will be a great year for all of you and may God bless you all over and above all your needs.

The Third weekend of this month on Friday night we were able to have a special service and Christmas party for the kids in the Timothy House ministry in the church.  Thanks for a special offering from Discover Life Church which made this possible. We were able to bless the kids with some good Christmas presents and encourage them. On Sunday, we ministered at Lamp of Khon Kaen Church and we had a great two services.  Annie preached in the first service and I preached in the second service.  God blessed us all as we were preparing for the atmosphere for Christmas.

Little did we know that this would be our last service for the year and for a while.  On Monday around 5 am, Annie had severe stomach pain.  At first we thought it was bad food from the night before but the pain persisted and I took her to the emergency room.  Well, they assumed the same thing that it was bad food, observed her for a while and gave her medicine and sent us back home.  After of about an hour and the pain still didn't go away, I took her back to the emergency room.  This time a new shift and all of the doctors were coming in so they took the right steps in diagnosing Annie.  They admitted her to the hospital and began running all kinds of tests and a CT Scan.  They discovered gallstones and the gallbladder had caused the pancreas to be infected as well.  They treated the pancreas until the infection was clear and operated on Thursday afternoon and removed her gallbladder.  This was the first time that Annie or I have had any experience with surgery, so it was quite a trial for both of us.  haha.

Thank God for the hospital we chose because they were excellent in service and doctors are also very good.  Thank God that we moved here to Khon Kaen last July as well because we now live only about a mile from this hospital.  We were finally able to return home on Tuesday afternoon after 8 days in the hospital!  Praise God.

Feels so good to be home and now we are able to rest fully.  Once again we thank everyone for your prayers as Annie said, prayer works. She has truly recovered very fast and with a minimal amount of pain medicine.  Mostly she has only taken Tylenol for pain because she did not like the strong stuff.  Haha.  We are blessed and thankful to know we have so many people that are right there to pray for us at the drop of a post on Facebook or by an update via email. Annie is feeling stronger and stronger now that she is home. So I guess we will go into year 2017 with a resting time until she is recovered and strong enough to travel again and then we will get back to the serving God at our normal routine churches.  Amen?

We were a little surprised when we checked out of the hospital. We got our health insurance over 15 years ago and did not know we should add coverage as the years go by. So our insurance is a little out dated with the prices of today, so they only covered about 1/3 of the bill so we had to pay the difference. Praise the Lord! It was better than having no insurance at all though and we know God will provide to replenish more than we had to pay.  Of course if anyone would like to help us with the unexpected cost of the medical expenses, we would surely welcome anything you could give.  Amen?

Okay, thanks to all who support us and pray for us, you are all truly a blessing and we pray that God will bless all of you and bring great prosperity to you in year 2017
We love you all and thanks again for you prayers and encouragement they meant a lot to Annie and I!

Update December 2016

MERRY CHRISTMAS
AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Greetings in the Name of Jesus!  This will be our last update of the year, so we pray everyone will have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!  We love and appreciate everyone of you and thank all of you so much for your support and prayers!

We had a great month last month serving in all of the churches. We finished the month in Lamp of Khon Kaen church.  They had a team from Australia visiting so it was a lot of fun. Annie preached the first service and I preached the second service.  God blessed many through the Word and prayer!

The first weekend of December we ministered in Thai Buriram Church again and God blessed us all.  They are doing great and new people are getting saved.  Please pray for the 22-25 of December we will be doing an outreach to the schools and a service at night and then Christmas Morning.  We are praying that people we be blessed and saved during this time of ministry.  We will be going together with another church from Bangkok and a team from America.  I love Christmas time in Thailand because it is a whole month of evangelism and services at every church.  The new church in Buriram is still growing and we are excited about opportunity to visit them twice a month starting next year.

We just had our Christmas service with Tap Kwang Church in Saraburi on the 11th.  God blessed us all and we had a great service and fellowship with the church there.  Also we were blessed by a special offering from Discover Life Church Markham, Texas to bless the children here in Thailand this Christmas. So Annie and I get to be blessed as we visit each church to be able to give presents to the needy children.

This coming weekend we will be at Lamp of Khon Kaen Church.  Friday night we will be having a Christmas party for the Timothy Ministry which is ran by the pastors of the church.  We will be blessing the young people with special presents for Christmas also made possible by the special offering from DLC in Markham.

Please keep Annie and I in prayer for protection.  The first weekend of this month we had an accident on the way to Buriram.  A farm truck made a turn right in front of us and we crashed into the back side of the truck.  Our car is damaged pretty bad but the good news is Annie and I only had a couple of bruises.  Thank God!  We saw His Hand of protection in many ways because it could have been much worse.  Our car is in the shop and not sure if it can be fixed or not, so pray we can get a vehicle back quick to make our rounds to the churches.  We are praying that the insurance company will total the car so we can get a new one, amen?   Praise God our spiritual children here in Khon Kaen are letting us use one of their vehicles till we get our car back. Praise God in all things!

Pray for us as we go into this new year and we plan our year that we will make all our decisions according to the will of God.  We are excited about what God is going to do this next year.  We feel like it is going to be a great one!  Amen?

We appreciate and thank all of you who support us financially because you are the reason we can do what we do!  Without you we could not be spreading the gospel and helping develop the local churches of Northeast Thailand.  Thank you so much from the depth of our hearts!

We love you all!
