June Update 2017

Greetings to everyone in the Name of Jesus!

We had fun this last month at New Life Church Tap Kwang in Saraburi.  On Saturday we had time to be with the Pastor and encourage her in her service to the Lord.

Then on Sunday morning, Annie taught the first hour with a powerful word and then during the worship, joy broke loose and Annie was leading them in a dance for the Lord!  Haha.  Afterwards I preached and God moved among the people.

At Lamp of Khon Kaen Church we had the privilege of ministering to the youth on Friday night.  I taught them about being a leader in the Kingdom of God.  Then afterwards they had a belated birthday cake for Annie.

Then on Sunday morning, Annie preached a powerful word again.  It was a fun time in the Lord and God move on the hearts of the people.

Then at Thai Church Buriram, God also moved again.  We had a great time of fellowship with the worship team on Saturday night and then with the church on Sunday evening.  Annie taught the first round on Sunday morning and then I preached about God is love.  It was a wonderful time of ministry through the whole two days!

Another small new church is inviting us to add them to our monthly schedule.  Once again the pastors are young and wanting us to help them in developing their church. We would love to add it but we want to make sure it is God's will first.  We have only one weekend available and would give us a full schedule.  It also is about a 3 hour drive from us to the north. Please pray for us to make the right decision.

Please pray for Thailand right now, especially for our area in the Northeast.  The Thai culture is one that seeks authority, power and control.  They like it and the average Thai will strive all their life to fulfill this desire.  Unfortunately this desire is coming into some of the churches here and after they start getting bigger and more successful, the pastors will start using the wrong kind of power, abusing the authority of God and controlling their leaders and members. Some of them are beginning to control their people by using the gifts of the Spirit falsely (controlling them by prophesy, words of wisdom, words of knowledge, etc.).   Of course this kind of control goes along with the culture and religion of the country already, and many are being deceived and driven by these pastors.  Many stay and are afraid to leave and go any where because they think this is God, but some leaders and members  are now saying enough is enough and are waking up and leaving these churches.  Thank God for a few new pastors and leaders who are going out and starting new churches that are taking in the hurting victims of the abusive churches.  These churches are small right now and are full of leaders and members who have been hurt by their old church.  Pray for Annie and I, because many of them are calling us and wanting us to mentor, counsel and help them to minister to them and their people.  I believe this is a new direction that God is leading Annie and I to help but we must be selective and hear the Holy Spirit before we go and help them.  Amen?

As I was praying the other day about our ministry and thanking God for the calling upon our life. I love the churches we are presently ministering in and helping them when no one else will. They too have persecution like any other churches from the non believers and even some of the other churches in their areas.  They all receive us with open hearts and so much appreciation towards us.  We truly have grown to love them and are happy to continue to encourage, disciple and minister to them as long as God gives us the energy and  strength to do so. Amen?

Please pray about a team that is preparing to visit us the last week of September.  I want to try and get the three churches to come together for a church camp.  Also they will be doing a pastors conference in Bangkok. So pray for us and the team to hear and follow the will of God for their time here with us.

It won't be long and we will be in Germany to visit our son.  We will be leaving Thailand on 23 August and returning on 11 September.  Please pray for us and this trip for our protection as we travel there and back.  Also, I will be doing a Christian wedding for my son and daughter in love while we are there.  Our daughter from America will be joining us too, so it's going to be a lot of fun for sure.  We have not been together as a family for more than 15 years.  So we will be having a small family reunion at the same time. We are truly looking forward to it.

Our dear brother in Christ will be getting married in Tanzania in October. Annie and I would love to go but if we do God will have to provide.  So, we have prayed and put it into the hand of God that if He wants us to go, He will make a way.    Please pray and agree with us!  Then we will just wait and see what God says!  Amen?

Thanks so much to all of you who support us and pray for us every month because it enables us to reach out and minister by paying our own way and being nothing but a blessing to these small churches.  I love being a blessing and not a burden!  Amen?

God bless you all and we love you!

Ralph & Annie
