December Update 2017

 

 

 

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Greetings everyone and we are praying that you are all blessed during the holidays and you have a wonderful Christmas and a very prosperous New Year! 

 

We finished up November in Lamp of Khon Kaen Church and Annie preached the Word and many were blessed.  The church is doing great and all the teens are doing good too!

 

We started December at Thai Buriram Church.  We had a great service and fellowship this weekend with two people receiving Jesus into their hearts for the first time! Praise God!  We also had a surprise from the landlord because he raised the rent to a price the church can not afford.  The good news is that one member is going to let the church build a building on her property using the existing carport and convert it into a church building.  Once it is finished they will be able to seat around 80 - 100 members.  It is going to cost them around $3,000 USD to complete the whole thing.  I sent out an email for the special need and instantly got a response from friends that gave the entire amount to finish the whole building.   Hallelujah, God is good!  We pray God will bless them with many returns. They started the building already and we ask that you will pray for it to be finished by the 7th of January so they can have service there because they have to be out of the rental building by the end of December.

 

This year we will be doing 2 Christmas services. We just finished our first Christmas service at Tap Kwang, Saraburi. God truly blessed us and it was a wonderful time worshipping Jesus.  I preached about the mystery and miracle of Christmas.  We had two people give their lives to Jesus and in the afternoon we had lots of games and fun.  Next week we will have our second service at Lamp of Khon Kaen Church.  We are praying that more will be saved. Amen?

We have another marriage with one of our spiritual grandchildren in January.  Please keep me in prayer because these weddings are all in the Thai language and are very challenging for me. Lol. So I need all the prayer I can get. Amen?

Wow, it is hard to believe that this year is already over.  The years are passing so fast now, guess it is because of our age.  Haha.  We are so blessed by God to have good health, energy and strength to continue to serve Jesus here in Thailand.  Please pray that God will continue to strengthen us and give us good health.  Please pray for us as we go into the New Year that God will direct us in our scheduling of the churches we visit every month.  We also want to do some traveling to other countries so pray we hear from God and that His will be done.

November Update 2017

                 Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Greetings in the name of Jesus!  We pray you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and we pray God will bless you all!

We closed out the month of October at Lamp of KHON KAEN Church. We didn’t have a Friday night session with the kids this month because of school break and many of them were gone.  But we did minister on Sunday and Annie preached the service.  God used her in a great way. 

We started out this month at Thai Church Buriram. The church is doing great and we see the Lord changing lives and people growing in the Spirit each and every month.  Keep them in prayer because after the first of the year they are going to start building their first building.  The land have been donated already and now for the building project.  Please pray that God will provide!

We just ministered in COTR of Life Ratanawapi in Nong Khai province.   They are doing great so far.  This is a new church plant which started with just the pastor and their family.  They presently have twelve members already.  Annie and I are so blessed to be able to help them develop their church and honored that they took the COTR name as well.

Please begin to agree with us in prayer for next April because we are in the planning stage of a ministry trip to the Philippines.  We have a tentative schedule already and we will be there a full two weeks ministering in Manila and also to three churches on the Island of Butuan.  Please pray for Gods will to be done and we will be able Be a blessing!   Please pray for provision as well because this trip is outside of our budget range and will need additional support to make this trip a great blessing to our COTR churches there.  We will need an additional $3500.00 for this trip, so if anyone would like to make a donation to help us, please let me know and I will direct you as to how you can do that.  I am excited about this trip and know God is going to minister and bless many.

Continue to pray for our direction and ministry as we go into the New Year.  Annie and I are excited about this new season of ministry for us here in Thailand. God is leading us to help churches that are just starting up or new church plants.  Buriram was our first one and is doing great so far and this last weekend we started by helping COTR Of Life up by the border of Laos. There is a possibility that we will be able do help with another church plant close to Buriram after the first of the year. We are excited about this stage of life as God is leading us to help with these brand new churches and helping them to grow and build a solid foundation to build on.

Please pray for us that we will stay healthy, have strength and energy, God’s will be done and He will continue to provide for all our needs.  Amen!

We praise God every day for you guys and that God will meet all of your needs as well. You all have been such a blessing to us and we pray God will bless you in all that you do!

October Update 2017

                           Greetings to every one in the Name of Jesus!

I am a little late on getting our update out this month because we have been under the weather with the flu of some kind the last week or so.  We are back to being healthy again and doing great.  We just had our scheduled blood work done yesterday and good results for Annie, no changes.  My results weren’t as good but not to bad either.  As you all know I turned 70 last month so guess I got some of the benefits of being old as well.  My sugar levels have slowly gone up over the last few years and have now reached the level of needing medicine to help, my blood pressure is running high as well so a pill to help that was prescribed and my cholesterol levels need a little help too. So prayers in this area would be appreciated as we try and control the eating habits to better health.  Amen?

We got back from Germany last month and rested for about 2 weeks then we ministered first at Lamp of Khon Kaen Church here at home.  God blessed and moved among us as we ministered to the kids here.

Then the next weekend we had a Celebrate Freedom Conference at the Thai Buriram Church on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  A team from Freedom Fellowship International in Waxahachie, Texas came and ministered to the churches.  We had 4 churches come together with about 100 people throughout the seminar.  God used the team and anointed them to be a great blessing to the churches and to us as well.  God moved by His Holy Spirit and changed many lives and 4 people received Jesus into their hearts for the first time.  Thank you for your prayers and thanks to the team, they were great!

We ministered to New Life Church, Tap Kwang, Saraburi last weekend.  First time we have been back here for almost 2 months.  The church is doing great and and it was great to be back with them.  God ministered to all of them through the Word of God.

Please pray for us because starting next month we will be changing our schedule around to be able to minister at the church in Nong Khai along the border of Laos.  This is a new church plant and has around 10-15 members already.  The name of the church is Church on the Rock (Of Life).  We will be alternating months with this church and the church in Saraburi. We are excited about helping these young pastors to build and develop their new church.  Please pray for us and then that God will bring increase and meet all of their needs.  Amen?
