May Update 2017

Greetings Everyone in the Name of Jesus!

Thank you for all of your faithful prayers. We made it through the Thai New Year celebrations safe and sound. Of course we didn’t go anywhere for that period of time.  Haha.  We did take a taxi to the mall one day and we checked on our new sofa we had ordered.  We met a new girl working there who of course Annie began to witness to.  We found out that many of her family were already Christian and she had been to church before and was interested but had not received Jesus as her savior.  She was very stressed out because she had been involved in a car accident and was afraid she was going to have to pay a lot of money to compensate the other driver even though it was not her fault. Annie continued to minister to her and finally led her in a prayer to believe in Jesus and for God to help her in her situation. Praise God!  We just went back last week and checked up on her and she did not have to pay any extra money and all stress was gone and she said she was even putting on weight!  Haha   Her name is Lay so please say a prayer for her that she will get involved with a local church and continue her walk with God.  Amen?

This last month we celebrated Annie’s birthday at the new Mall in Korat!  We had a great day walking and window shopping, one of Annie’s favorite things to do.

Then on Friday we met up with Pastor Bob from Thai Church Buriram and we traveled to a resort in the mountains for a church camp for the rest of the weekend.  We had a great time with the church and it was a great time of fellowship, fun and ministry.

Saturday everyone arrived and there we had a lot of time for fun.  They mostly swam at the waterfall and Annie and I watched. Then I. The evening we all came together for dinner and another birthday celebration for Annie.

Sunday we had teaching sessions in the morning. We split up into groups.  Annie taught the women, I taught the men and Pastor Bob taught the teenagers. Then after lunch more fun at the waterfall for all the members and Annie and I  rested.

In the evening we came together for an evening service and I preached about following God.  Then Monday morning we all traveled back home.  It was a great time of bonding together and growing in the Lord!

Please pray for us as we are planning a trip to Germany from August 23 to September 11th.  We were going to celebrate our 20th year milestone of being here in Thailand last October but we wound being too busy and then Annie had her gallbladder operation.  But it is all working out for the better now because our son asked me to officiate a Christian wedding for him in Germany.  Our daughter from America will also be coming together with us and this will be the first time we have all been together in about 15 or more years.  So, please pray for our safety during this trip.

Then in October we have a missionary friend who is getting married in Tanzania Africa.  We are hoping that the Lord will provide and we will be able to attend.  Annie and I have always wanted to go to Africa and this would be a great opportunity for us to go and hopefully we could visit some other friends there in Africa.  Please pray for us if this is God's will, He will provide for us to go!  Amen?

Okay thanks to everyone for your prayers and support!

We love and appreciate you all!
